Are electric cars really more cost-effective than gas cars in the long run?

I have been considering purchasing a Nissan Leaf, but I am unsure if the initial cost is worth it in the long run. Can anyone offer advice on the long-term expenses and savings of owning an electric car compared to a gas car?

Electric cars may have a higher initial cost, but they are typically more cost-effective in the long run. With savings on fuel, maintenance, and potential tax credits, it's worth considering the overall cost of ownership rather than just the sticker price.

It really depends on your individual driving habits and location. In some areas with higher electricity rates, the savings may not be as significant. Be sure to do your own research and analysis before making a decision.
