Are mud tires necessary for off-roading?

I am planning on taking my Nissan Navara off-roading for the first time and I'm wondering if I need to invest in mud tires. Will the standard tires be sufficient or should I upgrade?

It really depends on the type of off-roading you plan on doing. If you're going through deep mud pits and rough terrain, mud tires would definitely be beneficial. But if you're just going on light trails, the standard tires should be fine.

I would highly recommend investing in mud tires if you plan on doing any serious off-roading. They provide better traction and grip in muddy conditions and can prevent you from getting stuck.
