How can I fix the squeaky brakes on my Nissan Qashqai?

I have noticed that my Nissan Qashqai has started to make a high-pitched squealing noise whenever I press on the brakes. It's quite embarrassing and I'm worried it might be a problem with my car. What can I do to fix this issue?

First, it's important to have your brakes checked by a certified mechanic to ensure there are no underlying issues. If they find that your brake pads are worn out, it's best to replace them immediately to prevent any further damage.

If your brake pads are still in good condition, the squeaking noise could be caused by dirt or dust getting trapped between the pads and the rotor. In this case, you can try cleaning the brakes with brake cleaner or soap and water to remove any debris.

In some cases, the brake pads may need to be repositioned or reseated to eliminate the squeaking noise. This can be done by a mechanic or you can do it yourself by following a tutorial online.
