How do I change the air filter in my Nissan Micra?

I recently purchased a used Nissan Micra and noticed that the air filter is looking dirty. I want to change it myself but I have no idea where to start. Can someone please walk me through the process step by step?

First, locate the air filter box under the hood of your Micra. It's usually a black plastic box with a lid and is typically located near the front grille on the passenger side. Next, remove the lid by unclipping any clips or unscrewing any bolts. Then, take out the old air filter and replace it with a new one. Make sure the new filter is facing the same direction as the old one. Finally, put the lid back on and secure it. It's a simple and quick process, but changing the air filter regularly can greatly improve your car's performance and fuel economy.

Some Micra models have the air filter box located in the back of the engine bay, near the windshield. Just like the first answer, you'll need to remove the lid and replace the old air filter with a new one. It's important to change your air filter every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. This will help maintain your car's engine and keep it running smoothly.

Make sure to only use a high-quality air filter for your Nissan Micra. Cheap, low-quality filters may save you money upfront, but they can cause damage to your engine and ultimately cost you more in the long run. Stick to reputable brands and always follow the manufacturer's recommendations for your specific Micra model.
