How important is having a full-size spare tire for off-roading in a Nissan X-Trail?

I've been considering purchasing a 2021 Nissan X-Trail, but I'm not sure if getting a full-size spare tire is necessary for my off-roading adventures. Is it worth the extra cost? Will a compact spare tire suffice? Share your thoughts and experiences!

As an avid off-roader and previous owner of a Nissan X-Trail, I highly recommend getting a full-size spare tire.
