How long should I charge my Nissan Leaf for optimal battery health?

I recently purchased a Nissan Leaf and I'm wondering how long I should charge it for to ensure the best health for my battery. I've heard different answers and I'm not sure what to believe. I usually drive about 30 miles a day, should I charge every night for a full charge or is it better to do a partial charge?

For optimal battery health, it is recommended to charge your Nissan Leaf for a full 100%, but this may not be necessary every day. If your daily commute is only 30 miles, it is likely that you will not need a full charge every night. Instead, it is better to do a partial charge. This will help preserve your battery's lifespan and may save you some money on your electricity bill. Just make sure to avoid regularly letting your battery charge drop below 20%.

It's important to keep your Nissan Leaf's battery charged, but a full charge every day may not be necessary for your daily commute. A partial charge is typically enough to get you through the day, but make sure not to let it drop below 20%. A full 100% charge can take up to 8 hours, so if you don't need it, it's better to save time and money by charging only what you need.
