How to improve the gas mileage of my Nissan Micra?

I recently purchased a Nissan Micra and I have noticed that it doesn't get great gas mileage. What can I do to improve it?

First and foremost, make sure your tires are properly inflated. Underinflated tires can decrease gas mileage.

Consider changing your air filter. A clogged air filter can decrease gas mileage by up to 10%.

Avoid excessive idling and speeding. Both can greatly reduce gas mileage.
