How to troubleshoot a strange noise coming from my Nissan X-Trail?

Recently, I've noticed a strange noise coming from my Nissan X-Trail while driving. It sounds like a squealing or grinding noise and seems to be coming from the front of the car. Any ideas what could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Firstly, make sure to check your brakes for any signs of wear and tear. If they are worn down, they could be causing the noise. Also, check the condition of your wheel bearings as they can also be a common culprit for strange noises. If both of these check out, it could be a sign of a worn or damaged CV joint. It's best to take your car to a trusted mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.

Another possible cause for the strange noise could be a misaligned belt in your engine. This can often be corrected by simply tightening the belt or replacing it if it is worn out. It's also important to regularly check and change your engine oil as dirty oil can cause the bearings and other engine components to make unusual noises. If the problem persists, it's best to have a professional mechanic take a look.
