Is it necessary to have a spare tire for my Nissan Patrol?

I recently purchased a used Nissan Patrol and was wondering if it's necessary to have a spare tire. I've heard mixed opinions on whether or not it's worth the extra weight and cost. Any advice?

Having a spare tire is always a good idea for any vehicle, especially if you plan on going off-roading or on long road trips where help may not be easily accessible. It may add some weight, but it's worth the peace of mind.
