Is it normal for my Nissan Patrol to make a grinding noise?

I recently purchased a used Nissan Patrol and I've noticed that it makes a loud grinding noise when accelerating. Should I be concerned?

It's not normal for any vehicle to make a grinding noise, so it's best to get it checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible.
