Is the Nissan Leaf a good option for a daily commute?

I'm thinking about purchasing a new electric car for my daily commute. I've heard good things about the Nissan Leaf, but I'm not sure if it's the right choice for me. Can anyone give me some insight on how it performs for daily commuting?
