Is the Nissan Leaf a reliable electric car?

I’m thinking about purchasing a Nissan Leaf but I’m unsure about its reliability. Can someone who owns one provide some insight?

I've been driving a Nissan Leaf for over 3 years now and I can confidently say that it has been a very reliable car. I've never had any major issues and it's been very low maintenance.

My friend owns a Nissan Leaf and has had nothing but problems with it. It constantly needs repairs and the battery life is not as advertised. I would suggest looking into other electric car options.
