Should I get a lift kit for my Nissan Patrol?

I recently bought a Nissan Patrol and I'm wondering if it's worth getting a lift kit. I plan on doing some light off-roading but nothing too extreme. Will a lift kit improve my off-roading experience? Are there any downsides to having a lift kit? Thanks!
