What are some ways to improve the fuel efficiency of a Nissan Qashqai?

I recently purchased a Nissan Qashqai and I love everything about it except for the gas mileage. Is there anything I can do to improve the fuel efficiency?

One way to improve fuel efficiency is to make sure your tires are properly inflated. Under-inflated tires can decrease your gas mileage by up to 3%.
