What is the best engine for towing with the Nissan Navara?

I am looking to buy a Nissan Navara and I plan on using it for towing. Which engine would be ideal for towing heavy loads? Are there any specific features I should be looking for? I appreciate any advice!

Based on personal experience, the 2.3L turbo diesel engine is the best for towing with the Nissan Navara. It has a strong torque and can handle heavy loads without strain on the engine.

I use my Nissan Navara for towing my caravan and I have found that the V6 petrol engine is surprisingly efficient and powerful. It also has a higher tow capacity compared to the diesel engine.
