What is the best way to start the Nissan Micra in cold weather?

I recently bought a new Nissan Micra and found that it has trouble starting in the cold weather. I have tried leaving the key in the ignition for a few minutes before starting and also using a block heater, but it still takes multiple attempts to start. Any tips or suggestions on how to tackle this issue?

Cold weather can be tough on car starting. One thing you can try is using a synthetic oil as it flows better in cold temperatures, making it easier for your car to start. Also, get your battery checked to ensure it has enough power to start the car in cold weather. Another tip is to avoid using a block heater for too long as it can end up draining more power from the battery.

I had the same issue with my Nissan Micra and ended up changing the spark plugs. It made a noticeable difference in how fast my car starts. You could also try using an engine oil heater, which warms up the engine oil and makes it easier for the car to start.

Frequent starting and stopping in short intervals can also drain the battery and make it hard for the car to start in cold weather. Try to avoid short trips in cold weather and if possible, use a garage to keep your car warm. Additionally, check your car's air filter as a clogged filter can make it harder for the car to start.
