I've had my Nissan Micra for a few years now and I'm not sure when is the best time to change the tires. I've noticed some tread wear but not sure if it's significant enough to warrant a change. Any advice?
ReplyThe general rule of thumb is to change your tires every 6 years or after 50,000-60,000 km. However, it's important to also regularly check your tire tread depth and if it's below 2/32 of an inch, it's definitely time for a change
It's a good idea to change your tires before winter hits, as having good traction on slick roads is crucial for your safety. You can also do the penny test to check your tread depth - simply insert a penny into the tread groove with Lincoln's head upside down. If you can see all of Lincoln's head, it's time for new tires.
