I recently bought a Nissan Juke and was disappointed to find that its fuel economy is not as advertised. On the website, it claims to get 28 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, but I am only getting around 23 mpg overall. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there something wrong with my car or is this just a common issue with the Juke?
ReplyHi Julia, sorry to hear about your fuel economy troubles. It's definitely not just you, many Juke owners have reported lower than expected fuel efficiency. One thing to keep in mind is that the advertised numbers are based on ideal driving conditions, so your real-world results might vary. However, there could also be some issue with your car's engine or fuel system causing the lower mpg. I would recommend taking it to a mechanic for a check-up, just to be sure.
I have a Juke as well and I can confirm that the advertised numbers are not always accurate. However, I have found that my fuel economy has improved after I got the car tuned up and switched to using premium fuel. It could be worth a try for you too.
Hey Julia, I work at a Nissan dealership and we often see customers complain about the Juke's fuel economy. As the previous answers mentioned, there are a few factors that could be affecting it, such as driving style and fuel quality. I would recommend experimenting with your driving habits and trying out different grades of fuel to see if that makes a difference.
