This could be a sign of a worn-out fan belt. When the belt becomes worn, it can start to make a high-pitched squealing noise. It is important to get this fix as soon as possible, as a broken fan belt can cause further damage to your engine.

It could also be a result of low power steering fluid. Check your fluid levels and top up if necessary. If the squealing persists, it may be a sign of a leak in the power steering system. In this case, it is best to take your car to a mechanic for further inspection.

Another possible cause could be a faulty drive belt tensioner. This is responsible for keeping the drive belt at the correct tension and when it becomes worn or damaged, it can cause a squealing noise. Have a mechanic check the tensioner and replace if necessary.
