How important is regenerative braking in the Nissan Leaf?

I've heard that the Nissan Leaf has regenerative braking, but I'm not sure what that means or if it's worth paying extra for. Can someone explain its benefits?

Regenerative braking is a crucial feature in the Nissan Leaf as it allows for the recapturing of energy that would otherwise be lost while braking. This results in improved energy efficiency and longer battery life. I highly recommend investing in this feature.

I've found regenerative braking to be quite useful, especially in stop-and-go traffic. It adds a slight boost to the range of the Leaf and overall makes the driving experience smoother. Definitely worth considering.
