Is the Nissan Leaf a good option for someone with a long commute?

I'm looking to buy a new car and I have a long daily commute. I've been considering the Nissan Leaf, but I'm not sure if it's the right choice for my situation. Can anyone share their experience with using the Leaf for a long commute?
